Tim Reynolds has been playing music for more than 30 years, meaning he's been playing all of his life. From his start as a bass player in a gospel band in his hometown of St. Louis to his days in Charlottesville, Virginia, with TR3 and from his breakthrough electric trio in the 1980s to his recent touring as lead guitarist for the Dave Matthews Band and the acoustic Dave Matthews-Tim Reynolds duo, Reynolds’ progression has continued throughout his many years on the road as a solo acoustic guitar wizard, playing for packed houses and crowds who have come to realize that Tim is not just Dave’s sideman, he is one of the most-talented, amazing, and thoughtful players on the circuit today.

After living in New Mexico for the past eight years, Tim recently relocated to the Outer Banks of North Carolina where he ran across two musicians: bass player Mick Vaughn and drummer Dan Martier, who would eventually form this latest version of TR3. After the chance meeting of these three talented players, a few rehearsals later and several stealth appearances around the North Carolina shore, Tim realized it was time to get back to the basics of rocking out the way only Tim can. Once again things have come full circle and Tim and TR3 are back to rock and funk your house down. Electric, funky, operatic, edgy—their show is a mix of updated Reynolds classics and wild covers of everything from James Brown, Prince, and TR3's ever-evolving catalogue of new material.

TR3’s CD "Radiance"—recently nominated as Home Grown Music Network's Album of the Year—is available on this tour. Look for a new live TR3 CD in early 2011.
